Rachel Belouin, Conservation Manager

Rachel was born in Southern Vermont and raised in a community of dairy producers and farmers. Her early years were also influenced living in the Appalachian Mountains and sailing the waters of Vermont and the north Atlantic.

After pursing a degree in Natural Resources, policy and education, she moved to Colorado. During this time, she obtained an M.F.A in non-fiction writing from Antioch University, and a M.S. in Rangeland Stewardship and Ecological Restoration from Colorado State University.

Prior to joining the Land Trust, Rachel was the Southern Plains Program Manager for Bird Conservancy of the Rockies specializing in collaborative conservation and building stakeholder engagement and partnerships with landowners, local, regional, state, and federal agencies, non-profits, Tribal Governments, and rural communities.

Rachel can often be found spending time with her son, Daniel, horseback riding, hiking, paddleboarding, or reading a good book.
