Averi Reynolds, Conservation Director

A Wyoming native, Averi grew up surrounded by Wyoming’s open spaces and agricultural communities. Her involvement in 4-H and FFA sparked an early interest in land, livestock and leadership, which led her to pursue a degree in Rangeland Ecology & Watershed Management, followed by a master’s in Animal Science, both from the University of Wyoming. Averi’s research focused on grazing behavior, diet quality, and the rumen microbiome of yearling cattle grazing native shortgrass steppe range. While completing her degrees, she interned and later worked with the USDA-Agricultural Research Service, where her passion for grazing lands and collaborative land management took root. Averi has also worked as the editor of the Wyoming Livestock Roundup and teaches an introductory soils course as adjunct faculty at Casper College.
Averi remains actively involved in the Society for Range Management where she has served in several leadership roles supporting early career professionals. She also has a longstanding commitment to Wyoming FFA, assisting with agricultural leadership programs. In any free time, Averi enjoys riding horses, hunting, fishing, and adventuring with her fiancé Stryker and two dachshunds, Sam and George.
Averi is honored to work alongside Wyoming’s landowners to ensure the state’s working lands remain productive, intact, and resilient for future generations.
