The Wyoming Stock Growers Land Trust (Land Trust) seeks a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as its next Executive Director. The organization’s mission is to conserve Wyoming’s working agricultural lands which also provide open space, wildlife habitat, and environmental benefits for future generations. With deep roots in the ranching community and strong partnerships across the state, the Land Trust is a respected organization committed to voluntary, private land conservation that supports Wyoming’s agricultural heritage, rural communities, and iconic landscapes.

The Wyoming Stock Growers Land Trust is the leading agricultural land trust in Wyoming, with a twenty-five year track record of success, a dedicated board and staff, and strong relationships with landowners, donors, and conservation partners. The next Executive Director will build on this foundation, guiding the organization into its next chapter of strategic growth, organizational strength, and lasting impact. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead a talented and passionate team based in Cheyenne, overseeing a diverse portfolio of conservation easements and stewardship activities across the state.

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary and grounded leader to champion the values of working lands and open spaces in a state known for its rugged beauty and strong agricultural traditions. The successful candidate will be an accomplished relationship builder and skilled manager, with proven experience in organizational leadership, land conservation, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. Familiarity with Wyoming’s landscapes, rural communities, and agricultural economy is strongly preferred.

The Land Trust office is located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, offering access to open spaces, vibrant communities, and a proud western heritage.

The Land Trust offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 – $160,000 and benefits package. Compensation will reflect the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance will be considered for the right candidate.
