Friends, neighbors and supporters of the Wyoming Stock Growers Agricultural Land Trust will gather to celebrate another year of protecting working ranches at the Annual Roundup Barbecue on August 25 at the Budd-Espenscheid Ranches near Big Piney, Wyoming. Hosted by landowners; Chad & Gudrid Espenscheid and Brian & Annie Espenscheid, the Roundup Barbecue will highlight the value of ranchland conservation with a tour of their conserved property. The Espenscheid Families completed two easements in 2011 on nearly 10,500 acres to protect their ranch for future generations. The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the 2012 Kurt Bucholz Conservation Award recipient, a closely held secret each year.
This annual event is to thank our friends for their continued support of the Stock Growers Land Trust. Without the support of our donors we would not be able to continue our mission of conserving Wyoming’s open spaces and working ranch lands.
