Chief David White (front row, right) of the Natural Resources Conservation Service visited Wyoming recently and toured several conservation easements held by the Stock Growers Land Trust including the Budd-Espenscheid Ranches, completed in partnership with The Conservation Fund. The NRCS has been instrumental in funding purchased easement projects; to date, the Stock Growers Land Trust has been able to complete 16 easements with Farm and Ranchland Protection Program dollars.
Joining Chief White, Brian, Annie, Chad, Gudrid and kids on the family ranch in Big Piney are: Luke Lynch of The Conservation Fund; Scott Talbot, Director of the WY Game and Fish Department; Astrid Martinez State Conservationist, Paul Shelton Associate State Conservationist and Jennifer Hayward of the NRCS and Pam Dewell Stock Growers Land Trust Executive Director.
