Working on various ranches in Nebraska and Wyoming gave Lance Schutte a deep appreciation for the work and services that agricultural producers provide.   Lance grew up in Hastings, Nebraska and is a 2006 graduate of Chadron State College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Rangeland Management.  Lance expects to complete work on a Masters of Agriculture degree in Integrated Resource Management from Colorado State University in December of 2012.  Lance brings years of experience of work with WY State Lands and Investments and the Natural Resources Conservation Service to his new responsibilities with the Stock Growers Land Trust, and is responsible for the stewardship of conservation easements we hold.

Lance and his wife, Alicia, have two children, Wyatt (11) and Jordan (10) and Lance says that they wish them to have the opportunity to enjoy Wyoming as it should be enjoyed, with wide open spaces.  “The hard work and dedication that agricultural producers exhibit are traits that one should attempt to emulate, and I hope to accomplish this task.   Our family believes that the conservation of agricultural lands is very important, and that is why I look forward to serving agricultural producers and the community as the Stewardship Coordinator for the Wyoming Stock Growers Agricultural Land Trust.”
